Trisha Brown Co-Director

Trisha has been with Great Lakes Biomimicry since 2015. As part of a team of three Co-Directors, she focuses on strategy, new business development, delivering biomimicry professional education and Innovation Services. She leads the Corporate Innovation Council and is responsible for the financial reporting of the organization.

Trisha has worked in private sector finance (General Mills, Minneapolis and Izod in NYC), advertising (Leber-Katz, NYC), and real estate development (NYC) and in the non-profit arena where she directed the Corporate Roundtable for the Corporate Sustainability Network, a peer to peer learning organization that advanced the conversation and practice of corporate sustainability. She also consulted with the City of Cleveland, recruiting corporate involvement in their 10-year sustainability initiative. Trisha founded Housing Futures, LLC, a company driven toward sustainable, responsible, residential renovation.

Trisha holds her BA in Finance from Michigan State University, a Masters in Urban Planning from New York University, and a post-graduate certificate in Urban Design from Kent State University School of Architecture and Environmental Design. She is a LEED-AP, a Biomimicry 3.8 certified Biomimicry Specialist, a certified yoga instructor, and is passionate about helping companies accelerate their innovation by looking to nature for inspiration and solutions.
