Dr. Ven Ochaya Advisor

Dr. Ven Ochaya is an active Advisor and collaborator with Great Lakes Biomimciry. He is Director of the MBA Entrepreneurship Program and Associate Professor in the Division of Business Administration at Baldwin Wallace University (BWU). Ven holds the George Herzog Chair in Free Enterprise, with specific accountability for integrating fundamental tenets of free enterprise into the model of entrepreneurism. He collaborates with the College's Center for Innovation & Growth in teaching and program development responsibilities. A member of BWU's Institute for Sustainable Business Practices, he is also a Fellow in the Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship.

Prior to BWU, Ven spent over 17 years with Fortune 500 companies. At Avery Dennison, he provided effective leadership and management accountability including business process improvement, human asset management, R&D & next-generation product development strategy, innovation process, and third-party partner development. Prior to Avery, Ven spent 12 years at International Paper Company in a variety of roles with increasing responsibilities, primarily in R&D, new product, technology, and process innovation within Corporate and Consumer Packaging Divisions. He has traveled extensively throughout the United States and abroad.

Ven holds an Executive MBA from Xavier University in Cincinnati, a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, an MS in Chemistry from the University of Texas at El Paso, and a BS in Chemistry from St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas.
