Ven Ochaya Baldwin Wallace University , Board Member

Dr. Ven Ochaya is a Board Member and collaborator with the Great Lakes Biomimicry Leadership Team. He is a Professor in the Division of Business Administration at Baldwin Wallace University (BWU) and a former Director of the MBA Entrepreneurship & Sustainability Programs, as well as the George Herzog Chair in Free Enterprise, with specific accountability for integrating fundamental tenets of free enterprise into the model of entrepreneurism.

Prior to BWU, Ven spent over 17 years with Fortune 500 companies. At Avery Dennison, he provided effective leadership and management accountability including business process improvement, human asset management, R&D & next-generation product development strategy, innovation process, and third-party partner development. Prior to Avery, Ven spent 12 years at International Paper Company in a variety of roles with increasing responsibilities, primarily in R&D, new product, technology, and process innovation within Corporate and Consumer Packaging Divisions. He has traveled extensively throughout the United States and abroad.

Ven holds an Executive MBA from Xavier University in Cincinnati, a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, an MS in Chemistry from the University of Texas at El Paso, and a BS in Chemistry from St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas.
